Key Hole Shape of the Pathway of Honor: The men and women honored there, and the millions of veterans they represent, have been the "key" and essential elements in the enabling and protecting of our nation’s freedom and liberty, and the American way of life. At this monument, their names surround and continue to protect the Flag of the United States of America and the country that flag represents. To symbolize the loyalty of our country's military veterans, all of the commemorative brick pavers honoring the service of participating veterans will be laid with the lettering facing the flag.

The Five Columns and Spanners: These features represent the five wartime military branches aligned from left to right by officially established seniority: Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard. These five columns also support the inscribed historical values of the United States Armed Forces: Duty, Honor, Country, Selfless Service.

Reflection Pool: To reflect on the lighted "24 & 7" Flag of the United States, and the service columns and values standing firmly behind providing protection for that flag.

The Arkansas Flagstone and River Birch: Represents the natural beauty of our state, the country, and the American way of life that our military services protect.
